Welcome from the President

Welcome to the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce website.  Thank you for your interest in our community, the work of our Chamber and our 460+ members.

Seymour, Indiana is known as “the Crossroads of Southern Indiana” because it is conveniently located halfway between Illinois and Ohio on U.S. 50 and halfway between Indianapolis and Louisville (KY) on Interstate 65.

Seymour is the home to two major industrial parks and a soon to open Certified Technology Park.  We also offer a regional retail center with shopping centers, Shoppes of Seymour and a thriving downtown.

The Seymour Chamber invites all our members to participate on one of our six standing committees or three task forces that meet at various times monthly or on an as needed basis. Our goal is to fulfill our mission statement “To serve as the catalyst for the advancement of commerce, culture and the community.” Our Board of Directors is committed to the achievement of that mission.  To see the activities of the Board to reach our goal, please view our 2005 Action Plan at our Chamber Business Plan page.
